It’s always YOU vs YOU!

"When there is no enemy within, the enemy outside can't hurt you."

People have this reoccurring nightmare, that there’s something, some force, that’s got a hold of them, and it’s holding them back. Whatever they do, they can’t break free from that force.

Well, I’m here to tell you that, the thing in your nightmare, the thing that is holding you back, the thing that is dragging you down, that thing is YOU. There are two fundamental attitudes towards life and its sorrows. Those with the first for their sorrows, blame the world. Those with the second, ask what they could do differently. It’s much easier and much more gratifying to your basic desires to blame someone else for your misery.

When Life gets hard don’t say “Why Me” say “Try Me”.

You know what’s funny? We want people to make guarantees to us, but we’re not willing to make guarantees to ourselves. And that’s the problem. We always want to blame other people. You owe you an explanation. You need to look at yourself and say, “Why are you only giving 50%?” You need to push yourself on punishment. You need to tell you that you owe something.

You’re not competing with somebody else; you’re competing with what you’re capable off. Your number one competition is YOU. It’s always YOU vs YOU. You’re going to be the one waking up in the morning, be discipline, put in the consistent daily hard work, because that gain success.

“Instead of worrying about what you cannot control, shift your energy to what you can create.” ― Roy T. Bennett

The only person you should compare yourself to is old you. Even though most of us try not to, we’re all guilty of comparing ourselves to others. This is often unconscious, but it’s important to try to train ourselves to stop. The only person valid for comparison is you versus older you.

The competition is all in your head. It’s always YOU vs YOU.

The fact that you are here, means that you are aware of yourself, and you are aware of your problems, and you are one of the few people, who are actually seeking the means to change yourself. Pat yourself on the back, good on you.
