What if no one supports you…

What if that one person who is supposed to believe in me doesn’t? What if my spouse is not being that supportive? What if the investors I’m pitching are not really believing in me and my dream? What if my editor is no believing in me and my book? Have you ever had the experienced of somebody holding your dream right in front of your face and crush it?

The idea of self-realization is that it’s not their job to believe in you. It’s your job to believe in you. It’s not their job to validate you. It’s your job. It’s not their job to believe in your dreams. It’s your job to believe in your dreams. Stop looking for validation outside and look inside. If anyone of you wants, “I need somebody to help me” “I need somebody to discover me” “I need somebody to understand my dream”. STOP, it’s a trap. Because when you look inside, only then you can find the real magic. Nobody can tell you what your dreams are. Nobody can tell you what are your powers. Nobody can tell you how can achieve your dreams. Nobody is here to support you for your dreams.

“I care not what others think of what I do, but I care very much about what I think of what I do! That is character!” ~Theodore Roosevelt

Whether people support you or not, do you really want to look back in regret one day down the line? To not know what could have happened if you tried to do what you really wanted to do? Follow your heart, and not the words of others just to live up to their expectations. Do you really want to pull back on following your dream or doing what you want because of others, and start living a lie that probably doesn’t fulfill your potential? Remember that life is short, and it will be easier to stick to your own convictions when other people disagree with your choices or put you down.

The one person that you can always count on in life is yourself. By making yourself a priority and loving yourself unconditionally, you can offer yourself the support that you may crave from other people. Once you truly love yourself, you will be able to find people that treats you the way that you deserve.

Always remember the saying by Henry Ward Beecher, “One’s best success comes after their greatest disappointments.” No matter how disappointing times may be, never give up on your dreams. It’s one of the most powerful traits of successful people, and you should have it, too.
