Sugar crisis report presented to PM, reveals Jahangir Tareen’s involvement

Jahangir Tareen’s name has been revealed among those who benefited the most from the crisis report completed on the Sugar crisis.

According to the report, the Sugar Advisory Board failed to make timely decisions; from December 2018 to June 2019, sugar prices increased by Rs 16 per kg, no new tax was imposed during this period.

The report states that the current stock and requirement are almost! Equally, a slight difference will give stocks the opportunity to raise prices, allowing the government to import sugar to eliminate this slight difference.
