EVENING ROUTINE FOR SETTING UP SUCCESS IN MORNING

Your morning routine begins a night before on how you wind down your evening. The decision you make every evening determines whether your next morning will be easy and empowering or not. Your morning routine is everything when it comes to your success, happiness and putting yourself first and finding time for you to find out what’s important to you.

Here’s 5 simple hacks that you can do every evening to have a stress-free and more empowering morning every day.

1.     USE 3-2-1 RULE:

It states that;

·         Three hours before sleep, stop eating or drinking alcohol.

·         Two hours before sleep, stop working.

·         One hour before sleep, shut your screen time.

               If you get to know how these things interfere with your sleep cycle and mindset, you’ll never ever want to have these at night.

2.     MINDSET FLIP:

It’s about how you can make things easier for you. Make it a night before. For example, get your clothes ready the night before, get kids lunch boxes ready and backpacks near the door. This is a kind of gift from the evening you to the morning you. It will also prevent you from all the mess and chaos next morning.

3.     GIVE YOURSELF CLEAN SLATE:

Don’t take today’s mess into tomorrow. Your kitchen is the first place you go to after waking up. So, empty your sink, load the dishwasher and clear off the counter tops and wipe them. Don’t saddle the future YOU with the crap that you today should be doing tonight. Psychologically, walking into a physically clean slate helps you mentally feel like you’ve been given a gift when you wake up the next morning.

4.     GET INTENTIONAL ABOUT SETTING YOUR ALARM:

While setting an alarm, make a decision about the person you’re becoming. Set your alarm considering it a promise to yourself that you’re doing this for yourself. You’re getting up for yourself and for becoming the better version of you. Make a decision about what time you truly need to wake up to make it easier, to support your future goals. Set your alarm an hour before you get up everyday so it will be a wakeup call from future you that he needs you to do it today for yourself.

5.     TUCK YOUR MOBILE PHONE ANYWHERE BUT YOUR BEDROOM:

This is the key factor for setting your solid evening routine. Keeping your phone and external world away from your attention will help you get a better sleep and a better morning routine. People don’t call you at night unless there’s an emergency but they will keep texting and snapchatting you all night long and that will keep you distracted and awake. Keep your ringer on but notifications off so that you don’t get distracted.

So, these are the simple things you need to do every evening to have a mindful and solid morning routine. Make little progress everyday and you’ll ace this.
